What is the first creation of God (Allah)?
Allah (God) is Our Lord, the only creator, the absolute, the eternal and undying. Everything is the creation of God (Allah Subhana wa Ta’allah) i.e. the earth, the skies and the lands, the Heaven and the Hell and all therein. All the creations of God is for a meaningful purpose. Allah is An Nur, what is An nur (Nur of Allah)? It is actually a divine light. The light is cold like the moon light. The first creation of Allah is the Nur of His beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad.
“That one will see Allah on the day of judgement as one sees the moon in a divine night”. Sahih Al-Bukhari
The first creation of Allah is his Messenger, actually the Nur of His the last prophet Muhammad called Nur e Muhammadi from his Nur (Divine light) .
“The first thing Allah has created is my Nur and then all the other creation is created form my Nur And I have been created from the Nur of Allah.”
Narrated by Hazrat Jabir in Sahih al-Bukhari
“Quran Say, He is Allah, the one and only Lord,(Wahid Malik). Allah is independent of all and all are dependent on Him. Neither has He an offspring nor He the offspring of anyone and none is equal to Him in rank. Surah Ikhlas.
Creation of the kingdom of heaven and earth
The Quran says, “All that is there in the heavens and the earth has glorified Allah, and He alone is the Almighty, the All Wise. To Him belongs the kingdom of heaven and earth. He alone grants life and causes death and has power over everything. He is the first as well as the last. The manifest as well as the hidden and He has knowledge of everything. It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days and ascended His throne (Arsh in Islam).
Say: “O Allah! Master of all the Kingdom, You give the kingdom to whom You will and take away the kingdom from whomsoever You will; You give honor to whom You please and disgrace to whom You will; all the good is in Your hand; surely You have power over everything.
He knows about every happenings on earth, heaven and skies and whatever goes up into it. It is He, who causes the night enter into the day and the day to enter into the night and He knows the hidden most secrets of the hearts.
Where is first Kalima written?
Allah has witten the first Kalima (Kalima e Tayyab) on the Arsh i.e the Throne of Allah. Allah showed this kalima to Hazrat Adam A.S and told him that this is the first pillar of Islam and no one could be a true muslim without beleving and recieting it. This is the main beleif (Imaan) of a muslim and basic essence of Islam. Who ever recites it by heart in the true meanings and abides by its rules and regulations will enter Jannah and will be saved from the Hell.
Adam further asked but whose name is written with your name? Allah replied that he is Muhammad ﷺ the last prophet. I will send him down for the guidance of mankind as the last prophet and there will be no prophet after him. Anyone on this earth who rejects him and doesn’t follow his commandments will not be among the believers and that his faith will be incomplete.
From here we can understand the importance of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺand that Allah has created his Nur even before the creation of Adam. Allah has divine love for our beloved Prophetﷺ. Allah has given him the title of ” Habib ullah” the lover of Allah and send him to this world for the mercy of mankind.
Creation of the first human being
“Indeed Allah Most High created Adam from a handful of soil that He took from all of the earth. So the children of Adam come in accord with the earth, some of them come red, and white and black, and between that, and the thin, the thick, the filthy, and the clean.” (Ref. Tirmidhi, 2955)
Allah has created Hazrat Adam A.S as the first human being (the first prophet of Allah). Allah created him from the handful of soil and took it from all of the earth. Quran also described that Allah created him from clay as a statue. Then Allah put soul in to it due to which he became alive and started to make movements.
“Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud”.
Allah ordered all the angels (malāʾikah) to bow down in front of Hazrat Adam. Allah told them that man is superior to all other creations ‘ Ashraful Makhluqat” i.e the best and noble creation. The question remains why so? When Allah gave him the knowledge about all things in the heaven and earth so he became better than all creatures. Then Allah asked the names of those things to angles, which they couldn’t reply. While at the same time when Allah asked the same questions to Hazrat Adam, he replied all of the answers. So they bowed down to Hazrat Adam A.S, as Allah ordered them to bow. All of them obeyed God except the Satan who felt envy and jealousy for Hazrat Adam and refused to prostrate before him.
Why Evil did not obey God Allah?
Evil did not obey Allah’s command out of his jealousy with Hazrat Adam. Evil has a proud of being the Jin and made of fire and he felt to prostrate a man made of clay, is his insult. This was the reason for not bowing to Adam that he gave to Allah .
He is also known as Eblīs, the leader of the devils (shayāṭīn) in Islam. He was from among the Jins and he prayed to Allah for about 80,000 years on earth, due to which he was raised up high and brought to the heavens and started living among the angels. Looking at his worship and Ibadah of Allah alone, he became arrogant thus refused to prostrate Adam. Allah declared him graceless “mardood” because he refused to obey the order of Allah. He was thrown down back to earth so he became the enemy of humans till the day of judgement.
Creation of Hazrat Hawwa A.S
Allah created a female called Hazrat Hawwa A.S (Eve) out of the ribs of Hazrat Adam A.S. She known as the mother of mankind or the mother of all human beings. Allah send them to live in the Heaven and allowed them to eat whatever they want to but not allowed to go near the forbidden tree or eat it’s fruit. The quotes are different from many scholars about the forbidden tree. Some believe that it was grapes or date, but mostly believes that it was whole grain of wheat (Gandum) although Allah knows the best.
“O Adam! live with your wife in the Garden (Heaven), and eat from wherever you please: but approach not this tree, or you run into transgression”.
Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Bibi Hawwa A.S lived in the heaven happily for many years and in the meantime Satan was planning to make them unhappy. Satan was the sworn enemy of Adam and he was planning to deceive. One day he tricked them eat that forbidden fruit and succeeded to deceive them.
They realized that they were tricked by Evil and have eaten from the forbidden tree, then felt so shameful of their act. They started to repent and sought forgiveness of Allah by reciting these words :
They said: “Our Lord! we have wronged our own souls: if Thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy mercy we shall certainly be lost.”
Allah accepted their supplication and gave His forgiveness to them. As mentioned in Quran:
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and Allah accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is Allah who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
This whole story is mentioned in the Quran, Surah Baqarah the second chapter and Surah Alaraf.
