Miracles at the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad

The signs of a prophet become clearer as dawn approaches. As we have read about some significant incidents that occurred before the arrival of Prophet Muhammad Mustafa. He is the Head of all previous Prophets (Imam ul Anbiya). We will now read about the heart-stopping prophetic miracles occurred at the birth of our beloved prophet Muhammad. In Urdu, miracle means (Rasool Allah ka mojza).

How many miracles occurred around the world?

The blessings of the Last Prophet’s arrival in the world did not stay limited to the land of Arab only. There were many certain miraculous occurrences appeared around the world.

These signs include,

  • Disbelievers of Arab had kept many idols in the Holy Kaaba, were fell on their faces.
  • There was a huge fire in Iran, which was lit by the fire worshippers and it was burning for one thousand years, extinguished in an instant at the time of nobles Prophet’s birth.
  • The palace of the king of Iran (Kisra) was hit by an earth quack causing its 14 arches to collapse. .
  •  A six-mile-long and wide river Sawah between ‘Hamdan’ and ‘Qum’ dried suddenly. While at the same time the dry stream in the valley of ‘Samawah’ between Syria and Kufa started flowing.

These signs were showing that the darkness of disbelief, idolatry, and lawlessness have changed into the bright morning of Islam. Islam has brought the education of Tawheed, peace, and respect for all human beings.

Allah says in Surah Al-Taubah, verse 33,

“It is He Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, so that He may prevail it over all other (false) religions, even though the polytheist may dislike it.”

Miracles related to respected mother of our Prophet

The most adorable relationship in the world is between a mother with her child. In Islam, the importance and status of the mother have described as very noble and respectable. The Last Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,

“It is as if the one who kissed his mother’s feet, kissed the doorsteps of Paradise

If we talk about the mother of the most eminent and noblest person in the entire universe, then we must say that this is the best mother in the world. Her name was Aminah, daughter of Wahb bin Abd Manaf.

Hazrat Aminahرضی اللہ عنھا tells about the miraculous experiences during her pregnancy. As mentioned in many different authentic narrations, during pregnancy, she never felt any pain or twist in her uterus as all the other pregnant women do. Before her pregnancy, Makkah was famine-stricken, but as soon as she got the noble Prophet in her womb, the land of Makkah started becoming lush and green, and the trees became full of fruits. And this was the reason for the increase in visitors, trade, and economy in Makkah.

Sayyiduna ibn Abbas رضی اللہ عنه narrated,in The book Dalalil-un-Nubuwwah
“The time when the light of prophetism (Noor e Nubuwwah) of Holy Prophet ﷺ transmitted from his father Abdullah رضی اللہ عنه to his mother Aminah رضی اللہ عنھا, all the four-legged animals were enabled by Allah to talk.
He said, the greatest Rasool ﷺ (our last prophet), who will lead and brighten the whole world, has emerged in his mother’s womb tonight. The animals on land and the animals on oceans and rivers gave the good news to each other that the time of birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ approached.

When Hazrat Bibi Aminah رضی اللہ عنھا was six months pregnant, she saw in a dream that someone was telling her, “O Aminah, its good news to you that you have the greatest one of all creations in your womb. When he will be born, name him as Muhammadﷺ.”

Miracles related to the Birth Time

The mother of the Last Holy Prophetﷺ Hazrat Aminah رضی اللہ عنھا said, “when the beloved Messenger of Allah was born, I saw a huge cloud from which light was coming and the sound of neighing horses and flying birds also.”

She further says, “then I saw that his face was shining like the moon of 14th night, and the fragrance of pure musk was emanating from his body. Then three men appeared; the first one had a tray of green emeralds, the second one had a silver-made water pot, and the third had a shining ring.

Washing the ring seven times, he set the seal of prophetism (Nubuwwah) between the shoulders of the Holy Prophet ﷺ then wrapped him in silk, he lifted him and handed over to me.”

Miracles in the Skies

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas رضی اللہ عنه says,

“Devils jinn used to enter in the skies to bring the facts or knowledge from angels to the seer (foretellers). When Prophet Eesa علیه السلام was born, they were stopped from reaching up to three skies. When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born, they were stopped from all skies. Afterward, if any of the jin tries to reach out to hear the angels’ conversations, he had stricken by a meteor (Shahab-e-saqib).”

Khazin, Al Hajr, Verse 17

Evil was stricken by a meteor

After the birth of the last Prophet ﷺ the angels were delighted and praised Allah. They also greeted and blessed to Prophet  (Darood o Salam) in a standing position around the house of Bibi Aminah رضی اللہ عنھا. Following this way of angels respect, the Muslims stand up to say Salam to the Beloved Prophet ﷺ at the end of Milad conventions.

What Quran says about sending blessings to our beloved prophet?

“Allah Subhana Wa Ta’allah (God) and His angels send blessings to the Prophet – so, you who believe, bless him too and give him greetings of peace.”

Surah Al Ahzab, Verse 56

Miracles in the beloved Prophet’s blessed body

Noble Messenger ﷺ also had some natural wonderes in his blessed body at the time of birth. He already had kohl of powder (Surmah) in his blessed eyes. At the time of birth he was circumcised with his umbilical cord cut. He was in a position of prostration with his right index finger raised, saying the prayer,

“رَبِّ ھَبْ لِیْ اُمَّتِیْ”

Means, “O’ Sustainer! Bless me with my Ummah.”

Allah says in Surah Al-Ambiya, verse 107

“And We did not send you (O’ Beloved!) but as Mercy for all the worlds.”

In the end we must say that our prophet is not only sent for Muslims but for all human beings, that’s why The Holy Quran declared him as Mercy for all the worlds (Rahmatul lil Alameen). Peace and Blessings be upon the most Beloved Last Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his family and his companions altogether.
